Job Title: Vehicle Technician (Full Time) SHREWSBURY

Location: JT Hughes Shrewsbury, 3 Battlefield Road, Shrewsbury, SY1 4AB

Reports to: After Sales Manager

Job Purpose: Responsible for maintaining customer vehicles to the highest standards.

Schedule: Saturdays 08.30am – 12.30pm (on rota basis)

Salary: £34,200 + productivity bonus up to OTE £38,500. Includes Technician Retention Bonus in basic salary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the After Sales Manager in a multi-franchise dealership.
• Qualified mechanic with at least Level 2, aiming for Level 3 qualification.
• Maintain customer vehicles, perform inspections, repairs, and service checks, adhering to health & safety standards.
• Preferably qualified MOT tester; training provided if not.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate and current.

Skills and Qualifications:

• NVQ/BTEC or City & Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Repair qualification or equivalent.
• Experience as a fully qualified mechanic.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• High attention to detail.
• Full clean driving license.
• Willingness to attend manufacturer training courses.

• £34,200 salary + bonus, OTE up to £38,500 (overtime excluded).
