Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is recruiting a Technician - Motor Vehicle for our Berkshire College of Agriculture campus. This full-time, permanent role offers 37 hours per week and a salary on Scale G (£25,483 up to £27,284).

The Technician will support practical teaching, supervise demonstrations, prepare equipment, and help with student induction. The role involves events, risk assessments and maintaining a safe workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area is required.
• Level 2 English and maths are essential.
• Experience in a workshop-based environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in induction of students and support learning through demonstrations and supervision.
• Help lecturing staff with practical demonstrations and instructions.
• Prepare equipment and materials for lessons.
• Participate in events such as parents' evenings, recruitment, trade events and open days to support college marketing.
• Maintain a safe learning environment, conduct risk assessments and service equipment.
• Manage supplies, parts and consumables and keep learning areas clean and organized.
• Support a discrimination-free environment and promote student and staff safety.
