Andover College is seeking a Motor Vehicle Instructor to deliver practical and theory teaching from Entry Level to Level 3. The role includes supporting the workshop, maintaining facilities, and contributing to equipment and space development at Sparsholt Campus.
The post offers a fixed-term contract with flexible hours (22–37 per week) and potential for up to 4 hours of classroom-based lessons funded at lecturer rates.
Motor Vehicle Instructor Salary: Up to £28,167 per annum (dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience). Working Pattern: Part-time or Full-time (22 - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Contract: Fixed Term. Location: Sparsholt Campus, Hampshire. Closing Date: 22nd September 2026
In this role the post holder will provide practical/theory instruction to learners on Entry Level to Level 3 Motor Vehicle courses and support to the team within the workshop, together with contributing towards ensuring the department’s resources and facilities are maintained to the highest level, including maintenance and development of the workshop facilities. If your longer-term aspiration is to get into teaching, then this role provides excellent grounding along with an extremely supportive environment. Depending upon the skill set of the successful applicant, there will be the opportunity to deliver up to 4 hours of some classroom based lessons which are remunerated on the lecturer pay scale.
