Job summary

Exeter and North Devon College is seeking a motivated Motor Vehicle Assessor to join the Construction, Engineering & Motor Vehicle team. You will support learners with workplace elements, arrange assessments, and build strong employer partnerships to enhance learner success.

The role requires industry experience, a degree-level qualification, and an assessor qualification or willingness to achieve one. Collaboration, proactive outreach, and a positive attitude are essential for developing future

Qualifications

• Has a background in Motor Vehicle or a closely related discipline.
• Holds a degree-level qualification (or equivalent industry experience)
• Has experience teaching, coaching, mentoring or training
• Holds an assessor qualification or is willing to work towards one
• Is a natural communicator who enjoys building relationships
• Can work independently while being a great team player
• Is committed to continuous professional development
• Brings a friendly, positive, and approachable attitude to work every day

Responsibilities

• Arrange and carry out workplace assessments and observations

• Help source exciting new placement opportunities
• Work collaboratively with teaching teams to support learner success
• Use digital assessment systems such as OneFile to track progress
• Promote the department and identify recruitment opportunities
• Ensure workplaces meet health, safety and compliance requirements
• Assist in bridging education and industry for automotive learners
