Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with vehicles.
  • Gas Safe qualified and mechanical service experience required.

About us

Hills Ford is a family owned and managed business in Kidderminster and Malvern holding the Ford main dealer franchise and the Pilote Motorhome franchise.

An exciting position has arisen to join our busy team in our new motorhome/caravan and light van workshop.

Your everyday duties would include:

  • Carrying out habitation checks/services.
  • Fault finding and rectification of heating, water, gas and electrical issues including 12 volt.
  • Fitting awnings, bike racks, TV aerials and general repairs.
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections.

Main key points/requirements needed:

  • PDI Experience
  • NCC Approved
  • Accessory fitting/repair experience
  • Gas Safe Qualified
  • Electrical experience
  • Manufacturer experience – Ideal but not necessary
  • Warranty submission – Ideal but not necessary

The ideal applicant will need the following attributes:

  • Workshop/carpentry/general tool skills.
  • Mechanical service and repair experience/qualifications
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • To be self-motivated with pride in your work.
  • Strong time management with ability to complete tasks within timescales and to quality standards.
  • To be presentable with good communication skills.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the industry or in a similar role with vehicles
  • Commitment, with a positive can-do attitude
  • Some experience with basic vehicle 12 volt electrics advantage
  • Self motivated and the desire to use initiative
  • Full understanding of the importance of delivering customer satisfaction
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately record work
  • Experience with ACOPS LPG Gas and electrical service experience would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Fault finding/diagnostics and rectification
  • And with further training be able to then:
  • Complete motorhome habitation servicing
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Carry out habitation inspections and preparing motorhomes for sale
  • Ability to fit accessories/optional extras
  • Assess/diagnose faults and rectify effectively and efficiently
  • Undertake maintenance, services and repairs
  • Work to highest levels to meet Company and Manufacturer’s standards
  • Maintain clean and tidy workspace

Schedule:

Monday-Friday - 40 hours to be agreed between 8.00am-6.00pm. Saturdays on a rota. Additional hours may be required when busy (paid at time and a half).

Salary:

Negotiable salary subject to experience.

Job Type: Full-time
