Job summary

Keoghs in Bolton seeks a Technical Supervisor to provide technical support and mentoring to Counter Fraud file handlers. You will work alongside the Technical Manager and Lead Lawyers to supervise, coach, and develop staff, ensuring high-quality records and adherence to professional standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring, training needs assessment, and escalation of complex cases. A strong legal background and experience in counter fraud are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with rights to practice
• Experience handling Defendant motor claims and counter fraud matters
• Experience managing own caseload with deadlines

Responsibilities

• Supervise Counter Fraud file handlers and maintain development records
• Mentor and coach team to extend technical knowledge
• Assist with pre-audit assessments for client/internal audits
• Identify training needs and feed back to Team Leader/Technical Manager
• Develop new starters to achieve appropriate financial authority
• Identify opportunities for strategic litigation and complex referrals
• Coach to promote profitable practices and manage performance issues
• Meet personal targets set by Technical Manager and Business Unit Director
• Handle reduced caseload of non-delegated specialist claims over £25,000
• Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2016
