Job summary

Davies in Bolton is seeking a Small Claims Track Specialist NDA File Handler to manage a caseload of motor-related small claims from service through resolution. The role sits in our Legal department and offers permanent, full-time employment.

The role requires legal file handling experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet Court deadlines. Training will be provided to develop expertise in MOJ/OICP portals and insurer client requirements.

Qualifications

• Established experience in law through education or experience.
• Caseload management experience for Small Claims Track.
• Knowledge of highway code and road traffic principles.
• Ability to plan, prioritise workloads and meet Court deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Small Claims Track cases, ensuring Court deadlines are met.
• Deliver agreed performance targets and quality standards.
• Analyse evidence to create an initial case strategy on liability and quantum.
• Conduct telephone discussions and negotiations with clients, Defendants, insurers and solicitors to pursue settlements.
• Proof witnesses, assess evidence and draft statements.
• Draft Court documents and comply with deadlines.
