Qualifications

• Qualified to an appropriate vehicle maintenance level.
• Experience in a dealership or service centre.
• Full driver's licence with fewer than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests and inspections on vehicles.
• Assist with light vehicle maintenance when not testing mot.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

MOT Tester / Technician – Portsmouth

We are working with the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance, and repair business in the Portsmouth area who are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department.

Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role are:

• Current MOT Testing Licence
• Qualified to IMI/NVQ level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Experience working within a car dealership, independent garage, car supermarket, or service centre
• Completed your MOT tester course (class 4, 5, or 7)
• Experience working on vehicles/cars/LC
• Ideally hybrid/EV trained; training will be provided if not
• Full driver’s licence with less than 9 points
• Willing to assist in the workshop with light vehicle maintenance when not performing MOTs
