Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Peterborough operates a high-volume service and repair facility with a modern multi-bay station and full administrative support, supporting vehicle safety and a no-pressure culture for the workshop team.

We seek a dedicated MOT Tester / Service Mechanic to conduct DVSA inspections on Class 4 and light commercial vehicles, log findings accurately, and perform pre-MOT repairs and routine servicing across a varied customer mix, ensuring right-first-time quality.

Qualifications

• DVSA Smart Card / MOT Tester Licence is mandatory.
• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent time-served garage background.
• Methodical inspector committed to accurate vehicle safety standards and right-first-time quality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliant DVSA inspections on Class 4 and light commercial vehicles.
• Log test findings accurately and maintain records.
• Perform pre-MOT rectifications and routine servicing.
• Handle brake components, wipers, lighting repairs and suspension work as part of the MOT process.
