Job summary

Swansway Motor Group is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our team at one of our well-regarded dealerships. You will ensure vehicles are road-ready, performing tests and inspections with a focus on safety and customer care.

The ideal candidate holds an L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair with a valid MOT licence, plus at least three years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, and excellent communication skills. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair with a valid MOT licence.
• At least three years’ experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service repair and PDI checks in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team.
• Use the 'see it now' service to record and convey work on customer vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic checks and road tests to verify quality and safety.
• Complete precise service documentation including job sheets and reports.
