Job summary

Swansway Motor Group is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our dealership-based team, focused on precision, safety, and customer care. You will help keep vehicles road-ready and meet our high standards of reliability.

Your responsibilities include conducting service repairs and PDIs per manufacturer guidelines, performing diagnostic checks and road tests, and documenting work clearly using our systems. A valid MOT licence and a L3 qualification are required, along with at least three years’

Qualifications

L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair with a valid MOT licence.
At least three years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full driving licence for road tests.

Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing service repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team to communicate additional work or escalation needs.
Use our 'see it now' service to record and convey necessary work on customer vehicles.
Perform diagnostic checks and road tests to verify vehicle quality and safety post-service.
Complete precise and thorough service documentation including job sheets, PDIs, and DISS reports.
