Job summary

Swansway Motor Group is seeking an MOT Tester to join one of our Cheshire-based dealerships, ensuring vehicles are road-ready, performing service checks, and communicating clearly with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team.

The ideal candidate will hold an L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair, a valid MOT licence, and at least three years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety and customer care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification in vehicle service and repair.
• MOT licence is essential.
• Minimum three years' experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing service repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team to communicate additional work or escalation needs.
• Use the 'see it now' service to record and convey necessary work on customer vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic checks and road tests to verify vehicle quality and safety post-service.
• Complete precise and thorough service documentation including job sheets, PDIs, and DISS reports.
