Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive group in Abingdon for the position of MOT Tester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tester to progress within a reputable organisation and contribute to high standards of vehicle safety and service.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum with performance bonuses pushing earnings to around £42,800, along with 31 days’ leave, generous staff discounts, ongoing training, flexible hours,

Qualifications

Possession of an active Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence.
Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, or extensive hands-on experience with MOT licence.
Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset and customer service focus.
Ability to work flexibly and cover occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

Conduct all aspects of MOT testing in accordance with government standards.
Support customers through the MOT process with updates and advice on required work.
Diagnose and carry out associated vehicle repairs and servicing where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of testing and service activities.
Liaise effectively with team members to ensure smooth workshop workflow.
Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.
