Job summary

Arnold Clark is hiring an MOT Tester at our Workington Motorstore. You will perform MOT tests to DVSA standards and diagnose defects for a wide range of vehicles, while maintaining thorough inspection records and providing professional customer guidance.

You will work with a skilled team, stay updated on MOT guidelines, and advance your EV–accredited technician training. This role offers competitive pay and benefits within a dynamic, customer‑facing environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Technician – Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred).
• DVSA Tester Certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures.
• Keeping up to date with current MOT testing guidelines and best practices.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections.
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical advice.

About The Role

As an MOT Tester, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

What We’re Looking For
