Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Cardiff is seeking an MOT Tester to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a motivated team and gain hands-on experience across many makes and models, while staying up to date with the latest automotive technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred).
• Solid background in an MOT testing role.
• Full UK Driving Licence and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures and documenting findings.
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service and explaining results.

About the role

As an MOT Tester, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our customers' vehicles are safe and roadworthy. You’ll work with a skilled, motivated team in a dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of makes and models. Plus, you'll stay ahead of the curve with the latest automotive technology!

Day-to-day duties

• Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Identifying vehicle defects and failures
• Keeping up to date with current MOT testing guidelines and best practices
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records of inspections
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical advice

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Technician - Minimum level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance certification (level 3 preferred)
• Experienced & Skilled - Solid background in an MOT testing role
• DVSA Tester Certification
• Team Player - Able to work efficiently alone or with colleagues
• Full UK Driving Licence
