Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced MOT Tester for a busy main dealership in Dover, Kent. The role involves carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, while conducting vehicle inspections and light servicing when required.

The ideal candidate will have a valid MOT Tester Licence, at least 2 years' experience, a full UK driving licence, and a professional attitude with excellent attention to detail. A supportive team and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid MOT Tester Licence – essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MOT Tester.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good understanding of current DVSA regulations and testing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience within a dealership or busy workshop is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify repair needs.
• Carry out light servicing and maintenance when required.
• Complete MOT testing documentation accurately.
• Maintain DVSA standards and procedures.
• Liaise with technicians and service advisors regarding repairs.
• Conduct road tests when necessary.

Salary: £35,000 Basic

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy and established main dealership in the Dover area. The successful MOT Tester will be responsible for carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, alongside vehicle inspections and light servicing and maintenance when required.

Role

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify any repair requirements
• Carry out light servicing and maintenance work when required
• Ensure all MOT testing documentation is completed accurately
• Maintain full compliance with DVSA standards and procedures
• Liaise with Vehicle Technicians and Service Advisors regarding identified repairs
• Carry out road tests when necessary
• Maintain high levels of productivity while ensuring excellent quality standards
• Keep the workshop and MOT testing areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements

Requirements
