Hawkfield Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester in Farnborough to join a well-established automotive dealer group.

The role involves conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards, performing vehicle inspections and light servicing, and contributing to a busy Aftersales team. The ideal candidate holds a current MOT testing qualification, a Level 2 qualification in Automotive Servicing & Repair, and a full UK Driving Licence.

Competenze

• Qualified MOT Tester with a current MOT testing qualification.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Mansioni

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and standards.
• Ensure all vehicles meet roadworthiness and safety standards.
• Complete MOT documentation and record test results accurately.
• Carry out Vehicle Health Checks and identify additional work required.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical defects and safety-related issues.
• Communicate findings clearly to Workshop Controller and Service team.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and used vehicle inspections.
• Undertake minor servicing and MOT-related repairs where required.
• Maintain MOT testing equipment and keep the testing area compliant with DVSA requirements.

Job Title: MOT Tester

Location: Farnborough

Salary: Up to £36,000 Basic Salary - £41,000 OTE + Company Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5:30pm (42.5 hours per week) - No Weekends

Hawkfield Recruitment is working with a well-established automotive dealer group in Farnborough who are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Aftersales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester looking to join a successful prestige franchised dealership, offering a competitive salary package of up to £40,944.78 OTE, Monday to Friday working hours and ongoing manufacturer training and career development.

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring vehicles meet the required safety and roadworthiness standards. You will also support the workshop with vehicle inspections, servicing and light repair work where required.

Responsibilities of the MOT Tester

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations and standards
• Ensure all vehicles meet the required roadworthiness and safety standards
• Complete MOT documentation and accurately record test results
• Carry out Vehicle Health Checks and identify any additional work required
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical defects, wear and safety-related issues
• Communicate findings clearly to the Workshop Controller and Service team
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and used vehicle inspections
• Undertake minor servicing, maintenance and MOT-related repairs where required
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing and completed work
• Ensure MOT testing equipment is maintained and used correctly
• Keep the MOT testing area clean, organised and compliant with DVSA requirements
• Work closely with Technicians and the wider Aftersales team to ensure workshop efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Qualified MOT Tester with a current MOT testing qualification
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing & Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience carrying out MOT tests within an automotive workshop
• Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs
• Strong understanding of DVSA regulations and MOT testing procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
• Full UK Driving Licence required
