Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Dover is seeking an experienced Class 4 MOT Tester to join our family-run garage. You will perform DVSA-class MOT tests, complete documentation accurately, identify defects and explain findings honestly, and assist with minor servicing while keeping the workshop clean and safe.

We offer a £36,000–£40,000 basic salary, a performance bonus, and a stable permanent role Monday to Friday with some Saturday mornings on a rota, along with on-site parking and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4 MOT Testing Licence (NT number).
• Previous MOT testing experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good attention to detail.
• A professional approach and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements.
• Completing MOT documentation and DVSA system entries accurately.
• Identifying vehicle defects and explaining findings clearly and honestly.
• Assisting with minor servicing and repairs when required.
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised.

The Role

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Desirable:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Experience working in an independent garage
