Job summary

Perfect Placement Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Service Technician for a well-established Dartford client. This is a busy, friendly environment with stability, competitive pay, and supportive team culture.

In this role you will primarily perform MOT tests (Class 4) with the option to carry out servicing and repair work. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–5:30pm, with a basic salary up to £36,000 per annum and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MOT Tester with valid Class 4 certification.
• Ability to perform MOT fail repairs and basic servicing tasks confidently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Relevant technical knowledge and experience of working in a similar automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests on class 4 vehicles efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with current standards.
• Assisting with basic vehicle servicing tasks, including brake, pad, and suspension replacements.
• Diagnosing vehicle issues and communicating findings effectively to the workshop manager for repair or rectification.
• Maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and legislative compliance.
• Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of all work undertaken.
• Contributing to the smooth running of daily workshop operations.
