Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a busy, modern workshop in Lincoln. You will carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards, perform safety inspections, servicing, and diagnostic work as qualified, and maintain accurate MOT documentation.

The role requires a current MOT Tester Licence and a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and teamwork. Attractive salary and comprehensive benefits await.

Qualifications

• Current MOT Tester Licence
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Tester
• Strong knowledge of DVSA testing regulations
• Good mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop
• Excellent teamwork and customer service standards

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Complete vehicle safety checks and inspections
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs where required
• Perform diagnostics and warranty repairs where appropriately qualified
• Maintain accurate digital job cards and MOT documentation
• Work closely with Vehicle Technicians and workshop colleagues
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester, Vehicle Tester or Automotive MOT Tester to join a busy, modern workshop. Applicants must hold a current MOT Tester Licence and a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Previous MOT testing experience and a strong understanding of DVSA standards are essential.

Location: Lincoln

Salary: Up to £35,103 basic per annum, plus bonus and overtime

Hours: Full Time
