Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for an MOT Technician in Plymouth, Devon. The role offers a base salary up to £30,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus and flexible bonus structure.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. Ongoing training and opportunities for additional qualifications are provided within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required or Level 2 considered.
• Valid MOT Licence preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience in a fast-fit or similar automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on various vehicle makes.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and propose solutions.
• Complete accurate work documentation and maintain safety standards.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and attention to detail.

Duties of the MOT Technician:

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards
• Perform general servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete and maintain accurate work documentation
• Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
• Deliver high-quality customer service with attention to detail as a MOT Technician

Requirements of the MOT Technician:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Level 2 individuals may be considered)
• Valid MOT Licence (preferred but not essential)
• Proven experience within a fast-fit or similar automotive environment
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work efficiently to meet targets
