Job summary

A well-established automotive workshop in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their team. This role offers a stable, full-time position with a reputable business that values quality and customer satisfaction.

Salary up to £38,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with Monday to Friday 8am–5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8.30am–4.30pm (additional pay). Opportunities for progression and site upgrades are available.

Qualifications

• Proven diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Valid Class 4 and 7 MOT license; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Perform MOT testing (Class 4 & 7).
• Diagnose and fault-find vehicle issues.
• Repair and replace components as required with high quality.
• Maintain professional image and deliver excellent customer service.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:

• - Servicing vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards
• - Performing MOT testing (Class 4 & 7)
• - Diagnosing and fault-finding vehicle issues
• - Repairing and replacing components as required- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to high quality standards
• - Maintaining a professional image and delivering excellent customer service

Requirements for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:

• - Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• - Valid Class 4 and 7 MOT license
• - Full UK driving licence
• - Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
• - Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• - Ability to work independently and within a team
