Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an MOT Technician for a role at a fast-growing automotive retail centre in Southam, UK. You will perform MOTs on customer vehicles and undertake light servicing as part of a busy workshop team.

Applicants should hold a valid MOT licence and have experience as a Vehicle Technician. The employer offers to fund Level 3 qualifications and ongoing training to support career progression.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UKs fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Southam.

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Pay / salary:

£32,000 - £36,000

OTE:

Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule:

08:30 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

MOT Technician Responsibilities:

• Completing MOTs on customer vehicles
• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties as and (when required)
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Working with other centre departments (Service, Parts, etc) and ensuring that they are well informed
• Ensure the correct DVSA process is followed

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
