Qualifications

• 1+ year’s mortgage underwriting experience, preferably in equity release or mainstream lending would be a benefit.
• Experience in mortgage administration or underwriting within a Bank or Building Society is essential.
• Essential - intermediate knowledge of FCA regulation re residential mortgages.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of underwriting tasks and maintain accurate company records to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
• Answer incoming telephone enquiries and emails across the full product range, document resolutions and engage with advisers and other business areas.
• Investigate and resolve complaints and queries in line with regulatory procedures, addressing root causes and balancing customer, company and regulator needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the team by reviewing procedures and developing personal skills.
