Job summary

GCB Recruitment is seeking a Mortgage Paraplanner for an established independent mortgage brokerage in Hertford. You will support Mortgage Advisors, prepare applications, and help clients navigate the mortgage process.

The role is office-based with a salary of £30,000-£35,000, 24 days holiday, pension, and free parking. Monday-Thursday 9:00-17:00, Friday 9:00-16:00, providing a structured, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in mortgages and the property market.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Professional, reliable and proactive approach.
• Mortgage knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Speak with clients and support them throughout the mortgage process.
• Advise on product transfer rates and suitable options.
• Complete mortgage applications accurately and efficiently.
• Liaise closely with Mortgage Advisors to progress cases.
• Update client records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Prioritise workloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout.
