Job summary

GCB Recruitment is seeking a Mortgage Paraplanner for an established independent mortgage brokerage in Hertford. You will support Mortgage Advisors, prepare applications, and help clients navigate the mortgage process.

The role is office-based with a salary of £30,000-£35,000, 24 days holiday, pension, and free parking. Monday-Thursday 9:00-17:00, Friday 9:00-16:00, providing a structured, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in mortgages and the property market.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Professional, reliable and proactive approach.
• Mortgage knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

We're recruiting for a Mortgage Paraplanner to join an established independent mortgage brokerage in the Hertford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused individual who is keen to develop their knowledge of the mortgage and property market within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

As a Mortgage Paraplanner, you will:

• Speak with clients and support them throughout the mortgage process
• Advise on product transfer rates and suitable options
• Complete mortgage applications accurately and efficiently
• Liaise closely with Mortgage Advisors to progress cases
• Update client records and maintain accurate documentation
• Prioritise workloads and ensure deadlines are consistently met
• Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout

Mortgage Paraplanner Requirements

• Keen interest in mortgages and the property market
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of mortgages/property market (advantageous but not essential)
• Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
