Job summary

West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for an Early Start Club Assistant to help ensure pupils start their day safely and warmly. The role is term-time, part-time with hours pro-rata'd to the number of hours worked.

You will supervise pupils in the hall or playground, assist with breakfast service, support independence, and promote the school’s positive ethos. PVG scheme membership is essential. This fixed-term post runs until 28 March 2027.

Qualifications

• Key experience includes working with children and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with pupils in the hall or playground.
• Set up and clear the breakfast area/room.
• Assist with breakfast service.
• Support pupils to develop independence and good behaviour.
• Provide comfort for minor accidents or upset pupils.
• Promote the school's positive ethos.
