Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is hiring a motivated Kitchen Assistant on a 25-hour, part-time contract. You'll be the heart of our operation, delivering high-quality food and upholding brand standards while supporting pupils and customers in our education sector setting.

Your shifts are mornings, across 43.6 weeks per year. You’ll maintain kitchen cleanliness, operate equipment safely, help with deliveries, and represent Chartwells with pride.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and team skills.
• Willingness to work flexible mornings.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment.
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
