Job summary

Oxford Active Limited is seeking staff to support the Breakfast Club at West Oxford Primary School, Oxford, for mornings during term time. The role covers 7:30-9:00am on school days, with 1-3 days per week or occasional cover available.

Duties include organising breakfast, activity planning, safety checks and handover to classes. Applicants should have experience with primary-aged children, good communication, teamwork, and be willing to undertake safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Experience or working with 3 – 11 year old children in a play environment
• Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Willingness to undertake appropriate training is essential
• All staff need to pass strict safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS Disclosure

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team to devise and plan activities that will engage and challenge children attending the club
• Helping ensure safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to classrooms at the beginning of the school day
• Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the play environment
• Providing breakfast for the children
• Administering first aid as appropriate
• Being responsible for tidying the room and clearing away at the end of the club
• Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
• Working within company policies and procedures, with particular regard to safeguarding children in our care
