Job summary

Briggs Marine Group is seeking an Ad Hoc Mooring Assistant to support safe berthing of vessels and cargo transfer at Stanlow Refinery. You will assist with mooring, loading operations, and maintaining security standards in a fast-paced terminal environment.

The role requires safety-conscious individuals who can work flexible day and night shifts, and who are willing to train for multiple duties in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious and able to follow terminal procedures.
• GCSE Level or equivalent educational background required.
• Full clean driving licence to operate manual vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Mooring vessels on berths at Stanlow refinery.
• Coordinate with Shift Supervisors to maintain appropriate manning levels.
• Assist with loading arm connections and disconnections for product transfer.
• Operate within control standards and report incidents or hazards.
• Respond to terminal alarms and oil spill incidents (Tier 1/2).
• Maintain housekeeping and ISPS compliance.
• Carry out jetty maintenance as directed by the Line Manager.
