Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to deliver high-quality Early Years education in a Montessori-inspired setting. You will support children’s independence, curiosity, and development throughout the day in a warm, safe environment.

The role requires a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification, nursery experience, and strong teamwork. Own transport is preferred due to the village location of the setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Interest in Montessori principles and child-led learning.
• Confident in encouraging children's independence, curiosity and decision-making.
• Warm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Own transport due to the nursery's location.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and Early Years education throughout the nursery day.
• Create experiences that combine the EYFS with Montessori-inspired learning.
• Encourage children to explore, make choices and become increasingly independent.
• Make thoughtful use of the nursery's natural resources and learning environments.
• Plan activities around children's interests and individual stages of development.
• Observe children's progress and identify meaningful next steps.
• Create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel secure.
• Support children's emotional, social and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.
