Job summary

Citizens Advice Torridge North Mid and West Devon is seeking a dedicated Money Advice Adviser to support clients facing financial difficulties. You will provide money advice across face-to-face, telephone, video and digital channels, researching options impartially and referring to specialist services when needed.

You will also undertake administrative duties, maintain case records, and contribute to the Research and Campaigns Team while traveling across our offices as required.

Qualifications

• Recent customer service experience with one or all of the following channels — face to face, telephone and/or digital (webchat or email).
• Proven ability to use sensitive listening and questioning skills with clients to get to the root of problems while maintaining interview structure.
• Ability to travel across our geographical area as required, sometimes at short notice.
• Proven ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively, and a willingness to challenge constructively.
• Demonstrable high level IT skills, with ability to support clients with their own IT needs, including online research.

Responsibilities

• Provide money advice to external clients face to face, via video, digital appointments or telephone.
• Research options impartially, and communicate information to clients.
• Undertake administrative duties to support the Money Advice Team.
• Collaborate with specialist services and refer as appropriate.
• Gather information to support the Research and Campaigns Team.
• Maintain detailed case records for continuity and funder reporting.
