Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Workshop Technician in Teddington to join a specialist engineering team. You will manufacture precision components using CNC and conventional machines, interpret drawings and support assembly, testing and quality control from concept through to delivery.

You are hands-on, with experience in precision machining, capable of reading engineering drawings and working to high standards. This role is Monday–Friday and onsite, with a salary up to £40,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience using CNC and conventional machine tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with measurement equipment and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC machine tools to manufacture components to specification.
• Use conventional machining equipment where required.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical documentation.
• Manufacture bespoke and low-volume precision components.
• Support assembly, integration and testing activities in the workshop.
• Conduct inspections using measuring equipment and techniques.
• Maintain manufacturing and inspection records.
• Follow Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
• Provide guidance to apprentices and junior team members.
