Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an experienced Commercial Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team at a large commercial healthcare site in Guildford. The role offers a stable, Monday-to-Friday schedule with a competitive salary and a strong benefits package.

You will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive work across mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring safe and efficient site operations.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 qualification in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong plumbing and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing and mechanical maintenance.
• Maintaining pipework, valves, taps, toilets and related systems.
• Inspecting plant rooms, pumps, heating systems and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Completing maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Supporting health and safety procedures and maintaining high site standards.
• Liaising with colleagues, contractors and the client when required.
