Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking highly motivated Scientific Support Technologists with molecular laboratory experience to support our expanding sequencing-based diagnostic services in Microbiology and Virology.

You will follow SOPs for nucleic acid extraction, QC steps (Qubit, Tapestation) and sequencing library preparation, supporting Illumina, ONT and Sanger workflows to deliver timely results for patients.

Qualifications

• Experience in a molecular diagnostic or academic laboratory.
• Accurate pipetting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within time frames to deliver timely results.
