Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists in Hull (HU9) are recruiting a Modular Estimator for a temp-to-permanent position within the industrial and manufacturing sector. The role suits someone with estimating exposure and knowledge of construction or building environments, who aims to develop into a full estimator.

You will work closely with an experienced Estimator, receive ongoing training, and progress toward a senior estimating role within a supportive, established business in Hull.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, preferably within construction, manufacturing or building-related environments.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical and organisational skills.
• Eager to learn and develop within a long-term estimating role.
• Proactive attitude with attention to detail, and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of project estimates and costings.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Supporting material take-offs and supplier quotations.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
• Assisting in producing accurate pricing for projects.
• Learning the full estimating process with long-term progression opportunities.

Our valued client is looking to recruit a Modular Estimator to join their team on a temp-to-permanent basis in the HU9 area of Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction, manufacturing or building industry knowledge, alongside some estimating experience or exposure, who is looking to build a long-term career in estimating.

Working closely with an experienced Estimator, the successful candidate will receive ongoing training and mentorship, with the aim of developing into a fully-fledged Estimator over the coming years.

The Ideal Candidate

• Some experience or exposure within estimating, construction, manufacturing or a building-related environment


• Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications would be advantageous


• Strong numerical and organisational skills


• Eager to learn and develop within a long-term role


• High attention to detail and a proactive attitude This role would suit someone who has some industry knowledge and estimating exposure but is looking for the opportunity to develop their skills further within a supportive and established business environment.
