A leading modular construction company is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Rental Division in Brandesburton. This full-time position involves preparing accurate tenders and quotations while working closely with the pre-construction team. Ideal candidates have over 5 years in estimating roles and strong numerical skills. A hybrid work model is offered, with three days in the office and two days at home, along with competitive benefits including a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in design-and-build.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Knowledge of JCT Design & Build and NEC3 contracts advantageous.

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading modular construction company to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their Rental Division. Location: Brandesburton | Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days at home. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business, supporting the pre-construction team by preparing accurate tenders, quotations, and cost plans for a variety of modular projects. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pre-Construction and play a key role in delivering competitive proposals and supporting client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and validate pricing and technical information.
• Prepare detailed contractor proposals based on designs and client briefs.
• Support the pre-construction and sales teams to develop competitive bids.
• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• HNC/HND or degree in Construction (preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in design-and-build, main contracting, or modular.
• Strong numerical and commercial skills, with proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.
• Knowledge of JCT Design & Build and NEC3 contracts advantageous.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Working hours: Mon–Thu 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm
• Hybrid working: 3 days office-based / 2 days home-based
• Pension: 4% employee contribution / 10% employer contribution
