Job summary

M&G plc is seeking a Manager/Expert to join the Model Validation team in the UK. The role provides independent validation of models such as capital, pricing, and valuations and requires presenting findings to senior committees, challenging assumptions where needed.

You will work with colleagues to widen coverage of model development risks and strengthen the risk framework, while drawing on actuarial and statistical modelling experience. The role supports flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in the validation of models and tools.
• Good knowledge of Financial services regulations and internal model design.
• Working knowledge of industry best practice and network with external bodies.
• Strong knowledge of UK financial services regulatory environment.
• Experience with model development risks and risk framework development.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent validation of models (capital, pricing, valuations) and present results to committees.
• Collaborate with colleagues to cover model development risks and risk framework.
• Maintain controls to improve the overall control environment and reduce operational risk.
• Support quarterly model change log reporting to the PRA and Solvency UK compliance.
