Job summary

M&G is seeking a Manager/Expert to join the Model Validation team. The role involves independent validation of capital, pricing and valuation models, presenting findings to senior committees, and supporting improvements to the risk framework.

Collaboration across teams and regulatory reporting are key aspects of the role. Ideal candidates have actuarial or statistical modelling experience, strong knowledge of UK financial services regulation, and familiarity with model development risks.

Qualifications

• Experience in validation of models and tools.
• Good knowledge of Financial services regulations and internal model design.
• Awareness of external developments and ability to identify, implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent validation of models across the organisation.
• Summarise validation results and present to committees and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to cover model development risks and risk framework improvements.
• Support reporting to PRA and Solvency UK Compliance exercises.
