Job summary

AIXTRON Ltd (UK) is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the UK and Europe. You will install, service, and maintain MOCVD systems, provide on-site training, and deliver technical support while travelling extensively.

English fluency is required, with additional European language skills a plus. Responsibilities include installation preparation, on-site commissioning, system upgrades, and collaborating with regional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality

Qualifications

Degree/HND/HNC in electrical, electronic, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
In-depth expertise in mechanics and electrics with IT applications knowledge.
Able to work independently and in a team, organized and structured.
Preference for vacuum, pneumatic, semiconductor process experience.
Fluent English; another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install new MOCVD systems at customer premises with thorough factory and site preparation.
Inspect, maintain and upgrade existing MOCVD systems at customers’ premises.
Provide training to customers and other regional field service engineers.
Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues while travelling.
Give feedback to internal engineering teams on prototype systems to guide development.
