Job summary

North East Drive Mobility (NEDM) in Newcastle is seeking a Band 7 Mobility Clinician (HCPC registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist) for 37.5 hours per week. The post is full time and fixed term for 24 months, based at Walkergate Park Hospital with outreach to Carlisle and Teesside.

Driving mobility assessments, in-car safety and powered mobility knowledge are essential. Degree in OT or Physiotherapy and HCPC registration are required, with CPD and a willingness to pursue Masters

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development/post registration education.
• Academic ability to study towards Masters level.

Responsibilities

• Assess fitness to drive and passenger assessments are part of the role.
• Work from Walkergate Park Hospital with outreach to Carlisle and Teesside.
• Develop and deliver driving assessments, in-car safety and mobility advice.
