Job summary

Selecta is hiring a Service Operator to visit client sites across the UK, stocking and cleaning vending machines, and keeping customers satisfied on every visit. You will also report issues, assist with training, and uphold hygiene standards.

The role is field-based with company vans, competitive pay, and extensive on-the-job training in food hygiene and safety. A friendly, presentable appearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high level customer service.
• Able to train new starters.
• Knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vending machines are stocked and cleaned to company standards.
• Complete stock and cash controls on the machine base and vans.
• Fix occasional faults on machines and report to Service Desk.
• Report accidents, unfit foods and customer complaints the same day.
• Provide training to new starters and upskill team members.
• Maintain high level of customer care and presentability.
• Perform regular audits/quality checks on machines and share follow-up actions.
• Report machines below hygiene standards to Area Manager.
• Cover sites by van or on public transport.
