Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR division, covering the Walsall cluster and surrounding areas. You will work on a planned schedule of pre-booked appointments, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with the tools and support you need to do quality work.

This structured role offers a 40-hour week, with overtime, bonus opportunities, and benefits. A full UK driving licence is required, with a focus on safe, high-quality service for members.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
