Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is recruiting Mobile Mechanics to carry out planned servicing and diagnostics on members' vehicles at pre-booked appointments. The role is field-based across the Newbury cluster, with a structured development pathway and opportunities to work toward accreditation.

You'll perform diagnostics with mobile equipment, deliver in-depth repairs, advise members, and ensure RAC safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
