Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces across Gloucestershire. You will work 40 hours per week over five days (Mon–Sat), 8:30am–5pm.

Overtime is optional with earnings potential of up to £3,000–£5,000 extra per year, plus a bonus scheme up to £6,000. Benefits include 23–25 days’ holiday, pension, life cover, EV salary sacrifice after 12 months and free household breakdown cover.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or preferably Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Serve and repair vehicles at customer locations (driveways, car parks).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Explain repair recommendations to customers and handle payments.
• Keep records of work and parts used.
