Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at prebooked customer locations across the UK. The role operates from a home base in Slough, with 40 hours per week and a 5-day pattern including Saturdays.

Overtime opportunities can push earnings towards £62,000 with a base of £55,625 per year. You will diagnose and repair vehicle issues including EVs, use diagnostic tools, and keep detailed service records.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance & repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles (workshop or mobile).
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer locations (driveways, car parks, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.

Job description

Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: Slough

Pay / salary: £55,625 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £62,000

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

Home based, working 40 hours per week, across 5 days (Monday to Saturday) 8am – 8PM, working 1 in 4 Saturdays.

1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) customer selected location e.g. driveway, office car park.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Payment handling through card transactions.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

What you’ll need to be considered for the Mobile Vehicle Technician role:

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
• A customer-focused approach
• Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans
