Maps Logistics is seeking an experienced Vehicle Paint & SMART Repair Technician to join our expanding mobile refinishing team across South Wales. You’ll operate from a fully equipped van, providing cosmetic repairs to dealerships, fleets and private customers while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Essentially, you’ll have 3+ years in SMART Repair or related fields, a full UK Driving Licence, superb paint prep and colour matching skills, and strong customer service abilities.

• Minimum 3 years in SMART Repair, Vehicle Paint or Cosmetic Vehicle Repairs.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent paint preparation and spraying skills.
• Strong colour matching ability and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality SMART repairs, including scratches, scuffs, stone chips and minor dent repairs.
• Prepare damaged panels for painting and mix colour matches.
• Apply primer, basecoat and clear coat using professional techniques.
• Blend adjacent panels to achieve invisible repairs and machine polish.
• Refurbish and repair alloy wheels and prepare vehicles to retail-ready standards.
• Maintain the mobile repair van and tools to a professional standard.
• Complete repairs safely and within agreed timescales, delivering excellent customer service.

You'll work from a fully equipped mobile repair van, carrying out high-quality cosmetic vehicle repairs for dealerships, fleet operators, leasing companies and private customers across South Wales.

Your Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality SMART repairs, including scratches, scuffs, stone chips and minor dent repairs.
• Prepare damaged panels ready for painting.
• Mix and colour match paint accurately.
• Apply primer, basecoat and clear coat using professional paint techniques.
• Blend adjacent panels where required to achieve invisible repairs.
• Machine polish and finish repairs to an exceptional standard.
• Refurbish and repair alloy wheels.
• Prepare used vehicles to retail-ready standards.
• Maintain your mobile repair van, tools and equipment to a professional standard.
• Complete repairs safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional image at every customer location.
• Follow company quality, health and safety procedures.

Experience in windscreen chip repairs would be an advantage but is not essential.
