Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Mobile Technician in Tonbridge, Kent. You will visit customers’ driveways with a fully equipped van to perform a range of repairs and services. The role emphasizes independent work, problem solving and excellent customer service within a leading motoring retailer.

You will operate a 44-hour week with a shift pattern across Mon-Sun 8:00-20:00, including every other weekend. Training is provided to fill skill gaps, and there are extensive staff discounts and a strong benefits

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring.
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Carry out battery replacements, windscreen repairs, oil & filter changes on client vehicles.
• Travel to customers' homes to perform repairs and services with a fully equipped van.
• Use smart technology and guidance to complete tasks efficiently and safely.

• On-target earnings up to £37,809
• A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £3,800 Per year
• Comprising a base salary of £34,009
• 44 hour week
• Shift pattern between Monday - Sunday 8:00 - 20:00 including every other weekend (5-day pattern may also be available)

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes
