Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Mobile Tyre Technician to visit customers at their homes and businesses across Lancashire. You’ll fit tyres, service vehicles and carry out related repairs with a fully equipped van and smart route guidance.

A strong focus on customer service and independent work is essential. We offer a base salary of £30,052 with a target on-target earnings up to £34,052 and an average £4,000 annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Tyre Fitter or vehicle repair is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills and experience.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Mobile Tyre Technician

On-target earnings up to £34,052. This includes a monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,000 per year, comprising a base salary of £30,052. Work 44 hours a week with a 4-day shift pattern, Monday to Sunday 8:00‑20:00, with every other weekend included (5-day pattern may also be available).

As a Mobile Technician, you'll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you'll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers. With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work day-to-day:

• Tyre fitting
• Dash-cam fitting
• Battery replacement
• Air-con services
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes
• Tow-bar fitting

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills & experience
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
