Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Mobile Technician to bring our automotive service directly to customers’ driveways. You’ll use your technical knowledge and customer service skills to diagnose and repair on-site, after collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub.

The role is full-time, based in Bracknell (Berkshire). 44-hour week with a 4-day shift pattern; on-target earnings up to £35,809 including a base of £32,009 plus a monthly bonus. Full training provided and great staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as Tyre Fitter or similar vehicle repair work is desirable.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Real passion for cars and motoring.

Responsibilities

• Battery replacement, windscreen repairs, oil & filter changes.
• Carry out repairs and services on customer vehicles at Driveways.
• Operate with guidance from smart routing technology and Hub procedures.

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you’ll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
